Hello!

I've tried to read the manual for the DC05 decoder, but I'm not able to find any CV for changing acceleration-/deacceleration time. Is it at all possible? If so, how is it done?

Best regards,
Nils :D

Nils,

you may change the acceleration-/deacceleration time only for the distance control.
CV48 controls the hardness of the break
CV53 and 54 controls the acceleration

You have to play around with the values !
An often used setup will be:
CV48 = 65
CV53 = 25
CV54 = 50

Yes I have had fun doing this as well!

I found that changing CVs 48,53 and 54 did not necessarily make a lot of difference but found that these changes were more effective (or am I missing something?) if I also changed the speed steps (Fahrstufe) CVs 70-97. Some chips have come with a range from 168 - 41 and others 180 - 45. Also the steps can be varied so that the lower speeds have smaller or larger steps.

I had one vehicle where I had to make the speed steps higher or else the vehicle just crawled along.

But clearly as Claus has said, you need to play with the values.

Hello
I work with model train normally.
I have tested decoder DC05. And it isn?t easy to control the cars in slow motion.
And I have tested a lot of cv. In result of many funny happenings and accidents.:shock:
In the decoders for train do they have feedback from the motor to hold constant speed.
Will that be possible in a next version? Or have I missed something in the programming.

And I still don?t like the fast stop in front of ir- stop signal. Isn?t possible to fix that in a way?
Even from step 14, do the cars stop to fast. The cv for distance controls works bad on that.
But when controlled manual or by WinDigipet do they run much better from start to stop.

Best regards from Nils

Hi Nils

That the cars stops immediately at an ir-stop is not a bug. If the car does not stop that fast, it might pass the coverage area of the led and will accelerate again.
AFAIK there is no load control for the engine implemented at the moment.

Best regards
Achim

I must agree that a speed ramp would be a very useful addition such as happens on, dare I say it, the Tams FCS Modules.
